The first port of call is the impressive waterfall of Xorroxin in the heart of a beautiful forest. From here the route ascends gently to the head of the remote Iñarbegi Valley, where the remains of many ancient dolmens and cromlechs can still be seen, and over to the equally remote and perhaps even more bucolic landscape of the Beartzun Valley reached via the Basagar Pass. From Basagar the route follows a scenic ridge all the way down to Elbete/Elizondo.
