The Baztan-Bidasoa Route

This route is designed to include the best of the Basque Pyrenean foothills centred on the Baztan-Bidasoa region on both the Spanish and French side of the border. The full 6-day route offers a shorter or longer option on the longer days, It is also possible to start the walk in Lesaka and end in Erratzu or in Etxalar and end in Elizondo to make a 5-day walk, with options also available for a 4-day walk, for those with slightly less time. Additionally, extra nights’ half board accommodation can be arranged at any of the villages along the route to allow more time for longer, more relaxed exploration.
